Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

Warm greetings from St. Thomas Syro Malabar Forane Catholic Church, Philadelphia. As the pastor of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Forane Church, Philadelphia, I am delighted to invite you to a very special occasion: the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Congress (SMCC), marking 25 years of service to the Syro Malabar Community all over the United States.

We are incredibly proud to host this celebration at St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Forane Church, Philadelphia, the birthplace of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Congress in the United States.

The Silver Jubilee celebration is a significant milestone in the life of our Syro Malabar community in the United States. It is a time to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and renew our commitment to SMCC’s mission and vision.  We have been blessed to witness SMCC’s growth and contributions over the past 25 years.

This celebration is an opportunity to honor the past and inspire and energize us for the future. Your presence would add grace and joy to this special occasion, and we would be deeply honored to have you celebrate with us.

We eagerly anticipate celebrating this joyous occasion with you and your family.

May God bless you all abundantly.
Yours in Christ,

Fr. George Danavelil

Dear Friends:

I am honored and extremely happy to invite you to this joyous occasion of Silver Jubilee Celebration of Syro Malabar Catholic Congress (SMCC) in Americas. Please join our Syro Malabar Hierarchy and all Syro Malabar Catholics that live in this country and the world to celebrate Silver Jubilee of SMCC.

In the year 1999, from August 13th-15th a few of our members from the Syro Malabar Community took initiative and hosted the First Convention of Syro Malabar Catholics in North America and was a great success. With the blessing of our then Apostolic Administrator His Eminence Mar Varkey Vithayathil (late) the Convention was a great beginning for Syro Malabar Catholics. His Eminence explained in the inaugural address that the objectives of the Syro Malabar Catholics will be achieved through the Convention and Spiritual growth and consequent witnessing and building up of our community are of prime importance.

There is deeper meaning at least for me, behind this jubilee celebration which gives witness to the love and lure of a provident God. We could rejoice simply because we have accomplished a lot with the grace of God in the past 25 years.

Let’s all join once again to strengthen our relationship, friendship, trust in God and renew unity.

Thanking you,

George Mathews CPA
Chairman
